Chapter One (pages 1 and 2)

Today, The day started as usual with the sound of my alarm clock sounding off in a musical way that I love which it would always wake me up at six-thirty in the morning. "Wake up Alex, it's time to go to school!" Alex is my twin sister who shares my room, it is hard to get her up in the morning and her room is parted by a door to make a seperate room. Alex also can be the most awesome sister because she is the captain of the girls basketball team.
"I'm already up Cole, you know that I wake up early to workout so I'm fit for basketball practice."
"Sorry Alex I forgot anway have you seen my notebook with my score in it, I'm supposed to present it to Mrs. Rhinehart today before we do it for the play this year."
"Yeah Cole it is on your first bookshelf in between the books The History of Music and The complete scores of Bach." So I went to the bookshelf and found the notebook, as I turned around I saw Alex enter and sat on my chair where my desk is at. "So whats the story, I mean the score and when will I be able to hear it so I can use it for planning my steps for the game against Keystone?"
"I have no clue Alex, when is your game?" I looked at her with puzzling eyes and then scanned the room and looked at the clock when it said Six fifty-five. "Alex we need to go, like now." We grabbed our bags and our gear then raced down two sets of stairs and ran outside towards the bus that just pulled up in Synchronizing movement when we got out of the door.

Alex and I always sit together so we can discuss the meeting place to meet so we can go over my score that will help her win and plan each step for her practice and for the game. Usually we meet in the gym after school but today we decided to use the music room since her game is on Thursday night, the same night as my debut as the new composer for the school. As we headed to our lockers I remembered that my book order is in today, also my doctor's appointment was also today. "Alex remember that we need to also go over to the store to pick up my book order or they will return it on Tuesday." I took a glance her way but she disappeared, I looked all around me to make sure she didn't run off to make me freak out but I saw her with Coach Marion letting her know a few things. So instead of bothering her and the coach I left her so I can get to class on time in which I ran to my locker then to homeroom wheere I saw Alex sitting at our desk. Puzzled at how she got there so fast I walked to the desk and sat down. "How did you get here so fast Alex?" I gave her the annoyed but puzzled look and of course she looked at me and shrugged.
" I took a shortcut and I waited for tou to get here." I wanted to ask about the shortcut but it would possibly be annoying for her to answer that question. The bell rang for the first period to start, all the students walked to their classes which I didn't have to go far because the music room was just straight across from my homeroom
